We’re Hiring! – Social Media Executive

Posted by Jess 11 Jun 2021

Do you dream of making a splash in social, running great campaigns and helping build brilliant brands? Are you excited about experimenting, optimising and using data alongside your creativity?

If you just yelled “Yeah, of course!” at the top of your lungs, then we’re looking for you – a digital-savvy Social Media Marketing Executive who wants to make an impact in the creative marketing industry.

Creative marketing is fast-paced, busy and varied. There’ll never be a dull moment because you’ll get to work on exciting accounts and help teams do great work for their clients.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Developing content plans
  • Creating engaging content for all platforms, including blog pieces, articles, social media posts, newsletters, and all manner of visual marketing content
  • Engaging with online communities
  • Analysing web traffic and relevant community metrics
  • Relaying community feedback to relevant internal stakeholders
  • Devising and implementing community communication initiatives
  • Liaising with other teams to stay updated on new marketing initiatives, product and service developments, and to ensure brand consistency
  • Attending networking events and relevant industry workshops

Get hands-on

The world of creative marketing is as exciting as it is varied but it can be hard to break into.

Until now. This is why we’ve teamed up with Marketing Debuts, the apprenticeship scheme by The Industry Club and powered by apprenticeship powerhouse The Opportunity Group, to help change all of that.

Marketing Debuts gets determined individuals into great creative agencies who’ll give you first-hand experience of the world of marketing. You’ll spend 12 months there, getting knee-deep in stuff like community management where you’ll learn the secrets of social media or project management – managing campaigns and getting stuck in across delivery.

Get the best of all worlds

To set you up for success, your programme will start with an employability boot camp. This is where you’ll learn about agency life and your role within it. You’ll also at this stage get to meet your fellow apprentices on The Industry Club scheme. They’ll be placed at other companies, yet still be part of your ‘cohort’.

You’ll also have a buddy and/or mentor who will support you throughout the programme.

You’ll spend a fifth of your 12-month placement studying with The Industry Club. Here, you’ll learn the foundations of excellence in your role, which you can then apply to real-life scenarios back at the agency. Marketing Debuts will give you the time and resources to hone your skills and put them into practice. It also means you’ll benefit from working closely with a leading agency (it could also be a major brand’s in-house marketing department), while being mentored by experienced trainers who specialise in their areas.

Plus, the skills you’ll gain over the apprenticeship are easily transferable, so they’ll set you up for a great career and a world of exciting options as you progress.

Get creative and apply now

We’re more interested in your creativity and passion to work in an agency than your educational achievements. If you don’t already have them, we’ll work with you to get your English and Maths GCSEs during the programme. The assessment process is based on your motivation to succeed and creativity rather than your educational background.

To apply, send us a copy of your CV with a cover letter telling us why this opportunity is for you to careers@futureproof.film.

But don’t stop there. We’d also love to know what you think is a brilliant example of brand activity or a campaign on social, and why. How you share this with us is completely up to you. It could be a video, a presentation, a written piece – the only criteria is that it’s creative! (Applications without a cover letter & task will not be accepted).

To find out more about the task please head over to Marketing Debut’s website: https://theindustryclub.co.uk/marketing-debuts/

We are committed to ensuring and supporting representation from all backgrounds across the creative industry, irrespective of race, religion, belief, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socio-economic background.
