It’s been a while since our last Logbook post, which means there’s a lot of news for us to catch you all up on. From our recent projects (BBC live sessions, filming conferences, testimonials, product launches and promotional videos) to our brand new team member Becky and a trip to LA to work in the glorious hills of Hollywood.
We’re incredibly pleased to announce that Rebecca Shaw has joined our FPFF (Future Proof Films Family) as our brand new Marketing Executive. Rebecca brings with her a wealth of marketing knowledge, a huge drive to push Future Proof Films forward, and is already making 2017 look very, very (very) exciting!
We’ll be updating our website with a brand spankin’ new About Us page for the New Year so you’ll be able to read more about our whole team very soon.
We started filming for the BBC over a year ago, from filming short sport promos in Inverness and Nottingham, to filming live music sessions for BBC Introducing within the East Midlands. The BBC shoots are always lots of fun and we get to meet some truly talented people.
Whilst our sessions regularly get over 100,000 views between YouTube and the BBC’s own website, recently, our BBC sessions have also received some plugging and airplay on BBC Two during the prime-time 7pm news. These sessions aren’t always promoted on the TV so it’s a huge compliment and pleasure to have our footage broadcast this way.
From testimonials to product launches, from conferences to animated videos, we’ve been exceptionally busy these past few months.
We’ve travelled the breadth of the country filming over the past few months; filming healthcare conferences in Newcastle & Leicester, a product launch for LG down in Surrey, testimonials down in Stevenage and BBC sessions in Nottingham.
The product launch for LG was a stand-out shoot for us because, as techies, it was incredible to visit their head office and check out their TV and monitor range – they also put on one hell of a mid-launch buffet.
In October, our editing whizz Drew flew out to LA to start work on a brand new feature film, Madness in the Method. It was a great opportunity for Future Proof Films and it’s one that we’re still developing, with the hope we can reveal more information in the New Year.
In the twenty days that Drew was out in the Hollywood hills, he got to meet some truly incredible people, learn more about film-making from industry experts, and also ride on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios (which is all he’s spoke about!).
We’re gearing up for the shoots and edits we already have booked in for 2017 but we still have a few days spare in January if you want to kick-start your year with brand new video content. Get in touch now and we’ll treat you to mince pies, Christmas themed hot beverages and maybe even, much sought after, FPF Christmas card.
